Additionally, our therapy for PTSD program is often covered by a wide variety of insurance policies, making comprehensive trauma and PTSD treatment accessible and affordable for those in need.
What Is an IOP?
At Bespoke PTSD Treatment, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for PTSD offers a comprehensive and personalized approach to trauma treatment.
Unlike traditional outpatient programs, our PTSD Intensive Outpatient Program is designed to be thorough and long-term, providing individuals with the support and resources they need to effectively address their trauma. We understand that trauma recovery requires a multifaceted approach, so our program includes several scientifically backed treatments and therapy modalities.
From Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to ketamine-assisted therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and more, we customize our PTSD treatment plans to meet the specific needs of each individual.
By integrating these alternative treatment methods, we strive to create a synergistic effect that enhances neuroplasticity in the brain. This approach helps individuals achieve breakthroughs and learn skills to combat maladaptive patterns of thinking and behavior associated with PTSD and trauma. What Treatments are Offered in the IOP for PTSD?
Each plan is entirely customized to fit your needs and schedule. Here are some treatment methods included in the program:
Ketamine Assisted Therapy
y activating the brain’s glutamatergic system, ketamine can enhance neural connections, thus aiding in the treatment of PTSD. Ketamine-assisted therapy combines ketamine with therapeutic sessions to help individuals access deeper memories and achieve significant progress. Ketamine is integrated into our program to support healing, coaching, and integration.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
TMS treatment for PTSD is a non-invasive, drug-free method that stimulates neural activity in specific areas of the brain using magnetic signals. TMS therapy for PTSD has been found to be effective for over 92.5% of our patients when included in our personalized PTSD treatment plans. Please note that TMS for PTSD is currently only available in person at our California clinics.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a therapy specifically designed to treat PTSD without necessarily involving extensive discussion of traumatic memories with the therapist. Grounded in the concept that PTSD stems from a disruption in how the brain processes memories, EMDR aims to restore this natural healing process.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a type of talk therapy that examines your thoughts, feelings, and reactions to situations and experiences. While some talk therapies delve into past experiences, CBT concentrates on the present, assisting you in understanding your mind and discovering ways to react differently to situations across various domains.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a form of CBT treatment, is an effective talk therapy for borderline personality disorder, mood disorders, depression, and interpersonal emotional issues. This approach combines cognitive insight, emotional regulation, and coping strategies to help patients respond more healthily to difficult situations.
Group Classes
If group meetings are included in your program, they can be conducted either in person or online and typically consist of 5 to 10 participants. Group sessions serve as an effective source of support, compassion, and a space to learn new strategies.
Psychiatry
Our team of licensed psychotherapists, mental health nurses, and psychiatrists utilize an evidence-based and personalized approach to your care.
Mindfulness Meditation
Your treatment plan includes stress management classes, which are often effective in treating PTSD as part of a comprehensive approach. Meditation, focusing on being present and accepting the moment, helps train your mind and regulate your emotional responses.
Yoga Therapy
The mind-body connection is fostered through movement yoga and may be recommended as part of your personalized PTSD treatment plan.
Nutrition Counseling
Physical health plays a crucial role in your recovery as our bodies are closely linked to our mental health. Therefore, our program includes training on food choices and education on the impact of nutrition. If you have recently searched for PTSD IOP programs near you in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, or Las Vegas, contact us to find out more details.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy plays a vital role in the treatment of PTSD. Our therapists offer coping strategies, role modifications, exposure therapy, time management, and communication skills training to support your recovery journey.
Brainspotting
Dr. David Grand developed Brainspotting therapy based on the connection between the eyes and the brain’s nerves. By targeting specific eye positions associated with past trauma, this therapy can release the emotions linked to the trauma.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy
This treatment is particularly effective for patients with traumatic PTSD who are expected to experience rapid resolution. A clinical technician with expertise in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) administers guided imagery, eye movements, and memory reconstruction to facilitate the healing process.
