Online Psychiatry Near Me
Are you looking for “psychiatrists near me” but can’t find the right psychiatrist in your city? If so, Bespoke is pleased to offer online psychiatry for patients throughout California. Our virtual psychiatry program allows patients to start working with a psychiatrist or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from the comfort of their own home. Most major insurance companies now cover online psychiatry.
Our Specialties
We broadly specialize in adult depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, addiction, OCD, PTSD, C-PTSD, and reactions from psychiatric
medications prescribed by other doctors. At the end of the day, though, these are just labels—they don’t consider the patient as an individual. As such, we adhere to labels for diagnostic and insurance purposes but do not treat them as dogma. If you’re wondering what your diagnosis is, don’t worry—our team can speak with you about your diagnosis after a psychiatric evaluation.
Some people experience chronic depression that requires treatment. Some of these treatments include antidepressant medications like SSRIs. For about one-third of individuals with depression, the standard treatments are not adequate; this is known as treatment-resistant depression. Despite the name, there are many treatment options available for individuals with treatment-resistant depression at Bespoke Treatment.
Alternative Anxiety Treatments
Anxiety disorders are the most prevalent type of mental health condition in the United States, affecting as many as 40 million people. However, only 37% receive treatment for their disorder. Anxiety can manifest in a variety of disruptive symptoms, such as sweating, trembling, heart palpitations, rapid breathing, nausea, insomnia, reduced concentration, and avoidance behaviors.
Anxiety often co-occurs with depression, so individuals may also struggle with feelings of intense sadness, hopelessness, or worthlessness. Even if you experience physical symptoms of anxiety, it’s important to understand that anxiety is primarily an issue in the brain. Specific areas of the brain, such as the amygdala, trigger the body’s “fight or flight” response by releasing a chemical called cortisol, which activates the sympathetic nervous system. This can make individuals feel the same intense response that our ancestors felt when faced with predators in the wild.
Trauma Specialists
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after a person experiences or witnesses a traumatic event, such as a natural disaster, a serious accident, a terrorist act, war/combat, or other violent personal assault. PTSD can alter the emotional processing of memories and events, such that it can lead to severe emotional distress and interfere with daily life when the brain doesn’t properly process a traumatic event. When a person develops PTSD, they can experience flashbacks or nightmares of the traumatic memory and may avoid places or situations that could remind them of the event.
Feeling stressed is common after experiencing trauma, and it can take weeks to process a traumatic memory. With PTSD, symptoms last for more than a month after the traumatic event. Sometimes, PTSD symptoms don’t arise immediately after the event but can develop months or years later. Symptoms can cause severe distress and interfere with one’s ability to work or carry out daily tasks. Individuals who experience prolonged trauma may develop complex PTSD (C-PTSD). C-PTSD has a distinct impact on a person’s core identity and emotional regulation.
OCD Treatment
OCD is a condition marked by a cycle of obsessions and compulsions that disrupt daily functioning. The term “obsessions” doesn’t just refer to casual preoccupations; instead, it signifies intrusive, unwanted thoughts, impulses, or images that persistently plague individuals with OCD, causing significant distress and consuming their time.
Obsessions are highly individualized and can evolve over time, varying in clarity and intensity. Whether a vague sense of unease or a specific fear, these obsessions can significantly impact individuals with OCD. Understanding the diverse nature of obsessions is crucial in addressing the challenges faced by those affected by OCD.
Bipolar Disorder Specialists
Bipolar disorder, formerly known as manic depression, is a chronic mood disorder characterized by dramatic shifts in mood, thinking patterns, energy levels, and behavior. People with bipolar disorder will experience alternating periods of depression and periods of abnormally elevated mood, known as mania. These periods can last from multiple days to several months and are often interrupted by periods of stable mood or euthymia. The symptoms of depressive and manic phases vary from person to person and can change over time. Episodes may not follow a set pattern, and individuals can experience the same mood state multiple times before experiencing the opposite mood. Bipolar depression can be treated with drug-free therapies like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, but mania usually requires some level of medication to fully treat and prevent future episodes.
Real Psychiatry Reviews
“I have suffered from severe depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety for over 20 years. I’ve tried every medication on the market, none of which had any positive impact on my symptoms due to my extreme resistance to psychiatric medications. I saw no symptom improvement in addition to suffering from the side effects that came with increasing the amount of medication I was taking. The depression and anxiety greatly interfered with every aspect of my life. It defined who I was. After only 3 weeks into my TMS treatment, I feel better than I have in years. I’ve started feeling joy and motivation and have stopped isolating myself from my friends and loved ones. I’m able to fall asleep naturally and sleep soundly all night without sleep medication. I have my life back thanks to Bespoke Treatment.” – B. L.
“The downtown LA team are truly wonderful people who’ve been a pivotal and effective part of my recovery journey! I am so grateful for their support and cooperation.” – M. G.
“My technician was exceptional, outstanding, and amazing. He knows exactly what to do and he does it exceptionally. He monitors and observes you at all times. He also keeps a record of your progress. He listens to you and is very patient. My psychiatrist is also exceptional. He is always there to assess your progress and manage your medication. He is very thorough. He is ready to answer any questions you might have. He is truly an expert and no doubt an outstanding psychiatrist. The staff are all very kind, and friendly and always make me feel welcome.” – V. T.
Board Certified Integrative Care
Just because we prescribe medication does not mean that we’re not fans of alternative treatments for depression and anxiety. Some patients may find more relief with meditation, nutrition counseling, and psychedelic treatments—and that’s great. Our psychiatric team can discuss a variety of treatments such as medication management, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS Therapy), Spravato esketamine nasal spray, and Prism Neurofeedback.
Psychiatric Evaluations
Our thorough examination of your mental health history allows us to uncover your strengths, challenges, and goals, thus enabling us to
determine the most effective diagnosis and personalized treatment plan for you. Our dedicated team will conduct a comprehensive interview with you, meticulously review any relevant records or tests, and even collaborate with other providers as needed. A psychiatric evaluation is the crucial first step that will provide you with the information needed to start developing your treatment plan and working towards recovery.
Medication Management
Our approach to medication management is aimed at finding the maximally effective treatment for your mental health condition at the
minimally effective dosage. We do this by carefully tracking your symptoms and side-effects at and in between psychiatric appointments. Our prescriptions will always be tailored to your needs: whether you need antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, or ADHD medication. If one medication is ineffective or causes side effects, rest assured that we will adjust the dosage or explore alternative options better suited to your body’s chemistry.
TMS Therapy
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS Therapy) is a highly effective, non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses–similar to those of a
magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine–to awaken parts of the brain that are underactive in individuals suffering from depression and anxiety. TMS is safe and clinically proven to improve depression symptoms in just 4 to 6 weeks. The cost of TMS Therapy ranges depending on your particular insurance plan.
Spravato Esketamine Nasal Spray
Spravato (esketamine) nasal spray is a type of ketamine treatment. It is a fast-acting, FDA-approved psychedelic that can offer significant relief for individuals dealing with Major Depressive Disorder or depression with suicidal thoughts. Spravato could be a suitable option for treatment if traditional depression treatments haven’t alleviated your symptoms and you are in good physical health. Spravato is always administered in one of our Los Angeles clinics.

Psychiatry Should Be Easy
Most psychiatric clinics seem to make simple things needlessly difficult. We know how to make refill requests, online scheduling, and medical record requests easy. Likewise, most psychiatry clinics are only open during normal working hours—when many patients are working. We’re dedicated to making treatment accessible by offering early morning and late-night appointments so that you don’t have to sacrifice to obtain the care you deserve.
