Bespoke Treatment is seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team of dedicated professionals in our West Los Angeles/Santa Monica office, located at 12381 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 205, Los Angeles, CA 90025. Our integrative mental health facility provides innovative and effective mental health treatments, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for helping patients achieve lasting wellness.

The PMHNP is a vital member of our healthcare team, collaborating with staff to provide comprehensive mental health services. This role focuses on assessing, maintaining, and improving the health status of individuals with mental health disorders. The PMHNP will see patients for initial psychiatric evaluations, follow-up appointments, perform Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) sessions, administer ketamine infusions and intramuscular injections, monitor Spravato sessions, and conduct evaluations and follow-ups for patients in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee medical care provided to patients; obtain medical histories, perform evaluations, order medications and procedures; authorize admissions and renders admitting diagnoses.
  • Diagnose and create a treatment plan for each patient.
  • Provide consultation/peer review to other providers/clinicians; actively participates in activities intended to improve patient care/facility/program operations.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely medical records about each patient, including observations during examinations
  • Prescribe medication in accordance with California law and professional practice guidelines.
  • Review incoming reports (e.g. labs) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate care with community providers either by providing referrals or collaborating with outside providers actively treating our clients.
  • Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
  • Available for consultation, direction, and on-site care.
  • Assist in patient discharge planning, especially in terms of health care needs, meets with patient prior to discharge.
  • Learn and apply biofeedback and neurofeedback interventions
  • Accurately and timely entering of clinical documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) software.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of medications, indications, dosage ranges, side effects, and potential toxicity.
  • Strong IV skills
  • Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision in an unstructured environment with multiple demands.
  • Reading and writing level that can clearly express or understand complex concepts, assessments, directions and processes or sequences of events.
  • Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facility.
  • Working knowledge of psychiatric and mental health standards.
  • Willingness to learn and master new therapeutic techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to emerging treatment modalities in mental health
  • Strong interest in innovative therapies such as ketamine, TMS, neurofeedback, and psychedelic medicine

Education and minimum qualification:

  • Current, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner License
  • Current DEA Certificate x Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
  • ACLS or Advanced Life Support within 12 months of employment, if appropriate

Line of Authority:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner reports directly to the Director of Clinical and Medical Operations.
